Spay Day – September 29 – Still Going Strong and More to Come!

The rain Saturday didn’t keep the dedicated pet owners and neighborhood advocates away from the most recent Spay Day. September 29, 2012, was another Big Fix for Big D event – hosted by Metroplex Animal Coalition and Dallas Animal Services.

Neither did the rain dampen the spirits of the volunteers, vets or technicians on hand to perform the surgeries.

Sixty-four cats and dogs had their spay/neuter surgery and, in many cases, received needed vaccinations and testing. It was a great success for both the animals, their families and the volunteers, vets and techs.

For the rest of this year, there will be TWO Spay Days each month. They will be on Saturday or Sunday at Dallas Animal Services. Dallas residents living in the zip codes below can get their pets spayed or neutered and vaccinated for FREE as part of Big Fix For Big D.

You MUST live in one of the following zip codes and you MUST make an appointment in advance. October Spay Days will be Sunday, October 7, and Saturday, October 27.

IF you live in: 75203, 75207, 75208, 75210, 75211, 75215, 75216, 75217, 75223, 75224, 75227, 75232, 75233, 75236, 75237, 75241, 75249, or 75253, CALL 972-498-8800 or EMAIL spaydallas@yahoo.com for an appointment.

  1. I noticed that this says FREE. A little confusing to me since it is part of Big Fix. Is MAC subsidizing the $20 co-pay? The spay-neuter programs are confusing. BUT I am so happy they are doing them and getting results.
