DCAP Donates Pet Food to Crossroads Community Center

This past Friday, DCAP provided 300 pounds of pet food to Crossroads Community Center.  CCS is an urban outreach ministry of First United Methodist Church of Dallas.  Since 2001, CCS has distributed food, and clothing to help mitigate the downward spiral of poverty. The organization, funded by public and private contributions and grants, serves men, women and children of all ages, ethnicities, and religions living in the City of Dallas who qualify as “low-income” under federal guidelines.  A lot of these people have pets who they love and care for as family members, and they struggle to care for them.  This food donation will help them tremendously.  A big “thank you” to Eloy from The Green Pet for getting DCAP and Crossroads Community Center together, and to DFW Rescue Me for transporting the food!
